Division of Vaccine Science at The Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo (IMSUT), is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to conduct wet and dry immunological research on vaccine science and design. One of the is to establish an innovative vaccine evaluation system to provide vaccines to the world in 100 days in the next outbreak, epidemic, or pandemic of infectious diseases. To achieve such an ambitious goal, the candidates are expected to bring us with new ideas, new technological advance and highly skilled in experimental methods. Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- M.D., and/or Ph.D. in diverse field of researches which may contribute to innovative vaccine science and design
- Better, but not necessarily, to have been trained in vaccine R&D
- At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Duties Include:
- Conducting full-time research at IMSUT under the supervision of senior faculty
- Designing and executing experiments related to vaccine science and design
- Publishing research findings in high-impact journals
- Other relevant duties as assigned
