Position Description

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering,
The University of Tokyo, is seeking to hire assistant professors to engage in
research and education in the field of mechanical engineering.

The successful candidate(s) will be affiliated with an existing laboratory in the
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The
University of Tokyo (Hongo Campus), and will engage in research in the field of
mechanical engineering, as well as teaching in the form of experiments and
practical training. The fields of research we are looking for are general
mechanical engineering, for example, 1) Materials and structural engineering, 2)
Fluid engineering, 3) Thermal engineering, 4) Bioengineering, 5) Robotics, 6)
Production engineering, design engineering, 7) Industrial systems engineering,
vehicle engineering, 8) Nano-micro engineering, etc.

The successful candidate(s) will be in charge of subjects such as lectures related
to their field of expertise, mechanical engineering exercises, and creative design
exercises.
