Currently, at the forefront of economic research, empirical microeconomics related to SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) utilizing economics, big data, and data science is being advanced as cutting-edge research. At the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Tsukuba, several faculty members specialize in empirical development microeconomics. By enhancing fields such as labor economics, education economics, environmental economics, public economics, industrial organization, and urban economics into this area of expertise, the university aims to establish a hub for international SDGs research. To strengthen research capabilities at the University of Tsukuba and enhance the International Public Policy Program, Graduate School of Business Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and curriculum of the College of Social Sciences, we are seeking qualified individuals for research positions.
The position is three-year term. After the first three years, it is possible to transit into the tenure track position when the candidate shows the excellent research outcomes. One extension possible (2 years) upon assessment, up to a maximum of 5 years in total. In a case when the candidate moves to the tenture track position, the tenture is reviewed at the fifth-year.
